Kizzy

Her life with us began as a throwaway dog.  After finding her through a rescue home, we chose this one even though her breath could have killed a thousand elves, and to be delicate, her toileting habits lacked grace.  She was a bony, starved (for love and nourishment) pathetic little soul with despair in her eyes and a heart as big as her ears. So she became our pet.  After overcoming her fear of the outdoors, she learned to run to the garden and play chase in the grass.  She gave kisses, shook hands (pleased to meet you) danced, and jumped through hoops with a spinning flourish at the end of her very own design. She learned to eat hard food with her four remaining teeth.  She loved fruits and vegetables, and eventually overcame her fear of a dinner plate placed on the floor.  To a fault!!

She brought joy to all she met, from the Seniors at the Lakeview Chapel (I was SO relieved she didn’t snore during the sermon) to children, neighbors, strangers, coworkers and family.  Some of her bad habits never fully abated, but her love, loyalty and sweetness grew with each passing day.  We can never replace each special pet in our lives, but they each bring us countless joys, stories, adventures and memories that we shall cherish forever.  Oh, and she smelled like a bale of straw!!  Sadly missed by her forever family and friends.  Run free, Kizzy.  Feel the sun on your back, and the wind in your face.
